March 2013: The 2nd Dynano workshop took place in Budapest, Hungary

The 2nd DYNANO's Network & SB Meeting was held on 27-29 March 2013 in Budapest, Hungary. It was organized by the Semmelweis University and took place at Novotel Centrum Budapest. A lab visit at the Semmelweis University, several sessions of presentations of ESR and DYNANO senior researchers were conducted. The last day was dedicated to the Supervisory Board meeting.

Nov. 2012: Release of a book on Responsive Membranes and Materials

The development of new multifunctional membranes and materials which respond to external stimuli, such as pH, temperature, light, biochemicals or magnetic or electrical signals, represents new approaches to separations, reactions, or recognitions. With multiple cooperative functions, responsive membranes and materials have applications which range from biopharmaceutical, to drug delivery systems to water treatment.

October 2013: The 3rd DYNANO's Network & SB Meeting will be held on 3-4 October 2013 in Madrid, Spain. It will be organized by the Spanish National Research Council - Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas – CIB. Prior to that event, both Marie Curie Initial Training Network DYNANO & GLYCOPHARM will co-organize a joint summer school on 30 September - 2 October 2013

September 2013: The NSA team welcomes 3 new collaborators: Lilia Clima and Alex Rotaru, both researcher at the Petru Poni Institute of Macrocyclic Chemistry (ICMPP) in Iasi, Romania, for a 3-months exchange and Hussein Osman from Egypt, for a 3-months research stay (BGF bursary). Erol is back from a 3-months exchange within the Dynano PhD Program, so is Istvan KOCSIS, cofunded Master 2 student (Cluj - Pr. Grosu) for a second research stay.


June 2013: IEM has been represented on the North American continent as M. Barbiou, toghether with J. Crespo will chair a session for Responsive Membranes and Biomembranes at the NAMS2013 Conferences in Boise (ID, USA)

May 2013: The NSA team welcomes 5 new collaborators this spring starting with Muhammet Tanc (from Uni Firenze) for a 3-months exchange within the Dynano PhD Program, while Erol Licsandru is studying at ICB, Romania for 3 months. Rosse Tchakalov (Paris-Sud) joined us for a BSc research stay (1month), as well as 3 researchers in the framework of a romanian funded project: Cristina Uritu (PhD) and Luminita Marin (Researcher) for 2.5 months and Ioana Moleavin (Researcher) for 7 months. All 3 are primarily based at the Petru Poni Institute of Macrocyclic Chemistry (ICMPP) in Iasi, Romania.
